What is Star Choice Academy?

Star Choice Academy is a Childcare, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (3K-4K) and Kindergarten school.

  • We provide services to children from ages 3 months to 5years old.
  • The Daycare model for the school resemble the Pre-K physical classroom structure and instructional discipline for allowing students to developing critical thinking skills, independence, phonemic, phonological, numerical awareness, listening comprehension and social – emotional awareness and more.
  • The Pre-K and Kindergarten Structure of this school will follow the NYS guideline requirement and threshold for all students. In addition, this program will highlight the development of student’s critical thinking skills, writing skills, independence, phonemic, phonological, numerical awareness, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, leadership skills, communication skills and social and emotional awareness.

This school was created to not only support families with their childcare needs, but also provide students with educational excellence, social emotional growth, develop independent skills and to ensure that students are ready for their academic journey.

What Makes Star Choice Academy Unique?

Our school provides families and students with a childcare in a secure and safe environment to children.

The founder and director of Star Choice Academy is an educator with almost a decade of classroom and administrative experience and holds various teaching certifications.

Our staff hold multiple certifications and have experiences in the following fields: Childhood Education, TESOL Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education.

We provide students with curriculum-based instruction by trained and licensed pedagogues. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of student’s schema, milestones, learning and physical needs, age appropriateness, and language demands.

We tailor our learning instructions to support students with English as a Second language (ESL) or (ENL) needs, to build their social and academic language demands, and to ensure they are kindergarten ready.

We work collaboratively with families and their physicians' recommendations, to support students with Special Learning Needs, create your child’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) - Early Intervention, and to assist their learning and/or behavioral needs. It begins the process of preparing students to succeed in their academic journey in kindergarten and beyond.

Star Choice Academy is associated with the Brain Fitness Foundation, an expert in the social-emotional support field for students and families. The foundation collaborates with our school to provide SEL through the Brain Resource Center

The school is working collaboratively with award-winning professionals in the entertainment and artistic community to provide students with unique opportunities to explore and learn about cutting-edge art and technology.

Students will experience fun and independent play and socialize with their peers in a safe, open, and supervised setting. Our school will serve as a space for students to build their self-esteem, confidence, independence, self-expression, and creativity.

Star Choice Academy aims to support students and their families.

The latest research from the federal government shows, a high correlation between success in kindergarten and successful achievement through 12th grade, and the inverse is also true. Our school aims to make all students kindergarten-ready through our curriculum and research-based teaching approaches, with our trained and licensed pedagogues. This will set students on a trajectory that will make them successful throughout their school experience and prepare them for college.

Our school is designed to cultivate and nurture the minds of all our young students. We aim to provide students with the tools needed to succeeed academically in the four modalities (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), build strong social skills, develop academic and social languages while ensuring a safe environment and provide them with research-based social and emotional supports.
